Briton, out of Llanarth Sally).
DAM:- Aberhosan Angharad (by Nebo Magic, out of
Dylon Diana).
COLOUR:- Black
TYPE:- Welsh Section D
FOALED:- 1999.
HEIGHT:- 15.1hh.
OTHER INFO:- Just prior to the October 2004 Royal
Welsh Sale, George’s breeder, Anne Wheatcroft, phoned to ask me if I would like
to buy her beloved stallion George as she was finding it hard to look after him
following a broken neck and shingles. He had recently been broken to ride by
John James of the Sianwood Stud who also shows Sydenham Elderberry for me and
Dduesant Diamond for her owners. We tried him and fell in love with his gentle
nature immediately, and two weeks later he came up to Scotland to join the stud.
It is hoped he will be lightly shown in Novice classes by our SVQ student, Lisa
Harris, during 2005.
George is a full brother to Sydenham Forget-Me-Not who was successfully produced
under saddle by John James, the combination winning their class at Hoys in 2002.
George had his first outing to Dressage in mid May, 2005 and managed a very
creditable 5th place out of a class of 40, in the Prelim 10 Test. He
subsequently went to his first In-Hand Show on 5th June, 2005 where he behaved
impeccably, won his class and qualified for the Ponies UK Glyn Greenwood final.
On George’s first outing in 2006, he took the M&M In-Hand Championship at the
BSPS Show at Goval.
At his second show in 2006, The Davida Show, George took the NPS M&M Reserve
Championship.
In 2007 George is competing in both riden and M&M WHP classes, ridden by Anna
Craigie. He went straight into Open WHP classes as he has a huge jump and no
respect for the smaller height fences. At his first outing in April to the NPS
Scotland Spring Show, he won the M&M WHP Championship.
